닥터 심슨의 고별 앨범 1988-2018까지 꾸준히 달려온 그가, 은퇴를 다짐한다고 하는데요. 그동안 많이 사랑해주셔서 감사하다는 닥터심슨, 또한 대한민국 국민들을 비롯해 재외국민, 그리고 그 외에 모든 우리의 친구들 함께 걸어요 라고 남겨주셨습니다. 닥터심슨의 Winter Wonderland 라는 곡은 평창올림픽의 폐막식을 기념해서 발매를 하였는데요. 공식적으로 본인의 마지막이 될 앨범이기도 합니다

지난 1월 22일에 자신의 SNS를 통해 은퇴를 선언하며 마지막으로 팬들의 기억속에 간직 될 "Winter Wonderland"를 선물합니다. Winter Wonderland는 1930년대에 녹음이 된 이미 80년도 더 지난 전통이 있는 캐롤 명곡인데요. 국내외에 수많은 뮤지션들의 다양한 편곡 Version이 공개되어있으나 닥터심슨의 Winter Wonderland는 복고풍의 스윙 리듬과 트렌디한 샘플링 비트가 어우러져 생동감이 넘쳤으며 피아노 연주로 브라스 소리들이 잘 어우러졌습니다.
